DISCOVERY FOR NEWCOMERS

Our getting-to-know-you process is called Discovery, and it begins as you start exploring New Heights on your own, from the website to a Sunday service, to a specific ministry / activity / Life Group, meeting people and learning along the way.

Discovery I is a document explaining our history, key doctrines, practices and leadership structure. We encourage you to look this over at any time and prepare questions about it. It's available at the Welcome Center, at the resource table in the foyer, or you may download it below. If you want one mailed to you, please email us or call 615.890.2004

The final step in Discovery is a combination lunch/class on a Sunday, right after services. Some in our leadership will join you for lunch in the West Hall, answer any questions you have, and then introduce you to our vision statement, how we implement it, and offer ways for you to get involved. You also will have the option of signing a commitment card if the Lord is leading you to fellowship at New Heights Chapel. Lunch and childcare are provided and the event should end by 2:00pm.

Prior to this lunch, we ask you to read Discovery I fully, prepare any questions, and complete the last page: a description of your spiritual journey so far. We would like to know you better as well, and it will help us to know a bit about your spiritual/religious background. You might write about how God has worked in your life so far, how you came to know Christ as Savior (if you have) and maybe some things you're wrestling with or still wonder about.
